When Is Now A Good Time? by George Walters

Ah, 2010, were did the time go? We just finished up on the first decade of the new millennium... Time for a check up from the neck up. Over the last 10 years, how'd you do? Are you living the life you envisioned for yourself? If not, "Why"? In 1999, weather you were watching Dick Clark drop the ball or dancing to Prince singing his profound song titled for the same year. Is this what you envisioned for yourself back then? Ten years ago did you think you would be richer, healthier, have a better marriage and more friends. Did you see your future having more joy and peace of mind then you're experiencing?

If it all has worked out for you, let me be the first to congratulate you. If not, don't you think it's time to resolve that you are really going to do it this time? You've probably heard the definition of insanity... doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If you don't want the next 10 years to turn out like the last 10, then now is the time to do something different.

We humans are a unique species. We are the only species on the planet who can change the course of our lives in one moment of decision. A lion will never decide that today I'm going to start hanging out with Gazelles. A duck will never fly north for the winter and a dog will never think that it can train it's owner. HMMM, forget that last one. All animals besides humans are directed by impulse, written into their genetic code. As a human, if you don't like the script you have written this far, you can rip it up and decide at this moment to write a completely new one.

Ask anyone one who has succeeded in any area of life... there was a turning point, that moment when they said NO MORE!!! They drew a figurative line in the sand. From this day forward I will do whatever it takes to separate from the patterns of the past and re-write the script for the life I am committed to leading. Some make that commitment in their teens, some not until their 30's, 40's 50's and yes, even into their 80's and beyond, but sadly enough, some never at all. There's countless stories of people who in a moment of decision, made that the moment they could look back upon that was the turning point they decided to take control over their own destiny.

My challenge to you is... "Now" is the time. This year, this month, this day, this moment. What you've accomplished up till now is a small fraction of what you are truly capable of. You are far more powerful, capable and extraordinarily gifted then you allow yourself to believe.

In her wonderful book; Return to Love, author Marianne Williamson put it this way:

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Make a decision that 10 years from now you will be able to look back with 2020 hindsight that this was that turning point that has allowed you to be living that dream life you will be enjoying.

The only thing separating you from the grandest vision of the life you truly deserve, is "Courage" Be courageous and declare this to be the turning point that you can look back upon and say, "That Was The Moment I Decided"... I will no longer play small in the greatest game on the planet... "LIFE".

Truly The Best To you And Your family
Respectfully, George Walters

Tony Robbins, The Power of Questions... by George Walters

"Questions provide the key to unlocking our unlimited potential," says Robbins. "Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers."

It is in being honest with yourself and having an open internal dialogue that you will place yourself on the path to success. "You and I have that same power at our disposal every moment of the day," says Robbins. "At the moment, the questions that we ask ourselves can shape our perception of who we are, what we're capable of, and what we're willing to do to achieve our dreams."

How do you really want to live?
What gets you most excited?
When do you feel stuck?
What kind of person will you have to become in order to achieve all that you want?

These are some of the questions Robbins suggests you ask yourself and answer honestly. "The genuine quality of life comes from consistent, quality questions," says Robbins. If you ask yourself a great question, your mind will automatically focus on finding better answers and solutions. Conversely, "If you ask a terrible question, you'll get a terrible answer," he says. "Your mental computer is ever ready to serve you, and whatever question you give it, it will surely come up with an answer."

Throughout his career, Robbins has been driven by a single question - what makes the difference in the quality of people's lives? He has since come to realize that it is what we ask of ourselves and how well we look inside to find the answers that plays a key role. Not only does this help us understand our own internal motivations, but it also helps provide focus to our thoughts.

Every night before going to sleep, Robbins suggests asking yourself the following three questions:
What have I learned today?
What have I enjoyed today?
What have I improved or contributed today?

Simple questions, yet with powerful effects. "Most people never feel secure because they are always worried that they will lose their job, lose the money they already have, lose their spouse, lose their health, and so on," says Robbins. "The only true security in life comes from knowing that every single day you are improving yourself in some way, that you are increasing the caliber of who you are and that you are valuable to your company, your friends, and your family." In asking yourself the above three questions, you can work on improving yourself each and every day.

Every individual has the right to live a life of fulfillment and questions are the key to opening that door.
"The power was given to you at the moment you were born," says Robbins. "Its source is unlimited. And when you seize it, you'll have everything you need to create a life filled with more passion, excitement, confidence, and joy than you've ever dreamed. Isn't it time to unleash the power within and claim your extraordinary potential?"

This fast paced 7 minute video will enlighten you on the Power of asking yourself the right questions. Putting this simple but extremely powerful concept to work in your own life will change your life in ways you never thought possible.

This short video below has some examples of what we ask ourselves and by simply changing the question you are instantly empowered.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h7Sc53ZbHE

The Power Of Questions Questions are an excellent way to access your subconscious mind, and the process is a simple one.

Suppose you are in a situation where you want to make a good impression. You walk up to the person you want to impress and blurt out a tactless remark. Instantly you realize what you've done.

If you ask yourself a negative question like, "Why am I always such an idiot?" your brain will come up with all sorts of reasons in order to answer that question. This is of absolutely no help to you, either in the present situation or at any time in your life.

If instead you ask yourself, "How can I recover from this mess?" your brain will sort through your memory banks to come up with some strategies to redeem your blunder.

In other words, your brain will always present an answer to any question you ask yourself. The answer may not necessarily be true, but your brain feels obligated to respond to your questions and will do its best to present you with some kind of answer, whether feasible or not.

How can you use this brain function to improve your life?

Train yourself to ask only positive questions.

Questions like "Why am I so talented?" and "How did I get to be so lucky?" will give you far more positive results than those that presuppose a critical answer. Often the brain recognizes that many of these questions are rhetorical, in other words they don't actually require an answer, but the impact is still positive. The questions imply that you are talented or you are lucky, thereby reinforcing the notion. In this sense they function the same way as affirmations.

WHY Questions

Asking, "Why do I always fail?" will inevitably lead to answers like "Because you're a loser!"

"How can I succeed in this venture?" will lead to creative and useful answers.

Why questions are often circular in nature and are not utilized in this particular process. Replace them with questions like *How can I do this? *What do I need to do next? *When do I need to finish this? *Where do I need to be right now? *What do I need to learn here?

Daily Questions

Anthony Robbins popularized the use of questions in his excellent tape programs, Personal Power and Personal Power II. Tony devised three sets of questions: one for mornings, one for night, and another set to use when dealing with problems throughout the day.

1. The Morning Questions

Answer the following questions every morning to set yourself up for a positive day. 1.What am I most happy about in my life right now? What about that makes me happy? How does that make me feel? (Repeat thse two secondary questions after each main question)
2.What am I most excited about in my life right now?
3.What am I most proud of in my life right now?
4.What am I most grateful for in my life right now?
5.What am I enjoying most in my life right now?
6.What am I most committed to in my life right now?
7.Who do I love? Who loves me?

2. The Evening Questions

Ask yourself these questions at the end of each day before sleep.

1.What have I given today?
2.What did I learn today?
3.How has today added to my life?

4.How can I use today as an investment in my future? 5.What did I do today towards reaching my goals?
6.Optional: Add the morning questions.

3. The Problem Solving Questions

These questions are helpful when working towards a goal and/or encountering an obstacle.

1.What do I need to do today towards reaching my goals?
2.How can I become successful and enjoy the process?
3.What can I learn from this experience?
4.What do I respect about this person?
5.What's actually funny about this situation that I haven't noticed before?
6.What's great in my life right now?
7.How can I make this happen right now and enjoy the process?

The three sets of questions can be printed in a large font on separate sheets of paper and displayed in your work space.

This valuable lesson comes from notes taken while spending 2 weeks in Kona Hawaii At one of Tony's seminars,
so I want to give thanks to Tony Robbins

A Personal Development Lesson From My Father... If You Never Get Skunked Fishing, You Haven't Learned Anything.

My father taught me how to fish when I was 5 years old. By the time I was 6, I was fishing in the local ponds on my own. I eagerly would come home on my bike to announce to my dad how many fish I caught. Much to my surprise when I was about 8 or 9, I came home, again to announce how great I did, my father turned to me and said the day you come home skunked is the day I'll be most excited for you.

"What"? I don't get it. He could see the bewildered look on my face and started to elaborate.
The day will come that you go to the same pond, home to the same fish and you'll get skunked.

One of 2 things will happen, you'll either quit fishing or you will learn something new so you can still catch fish on those days that all your friends are getting skunked. You see son if you want to get better at something you have to push yourself and inevitably some of those things will fail and in this moment of failure you either quit or you push yourself to learn something new to improve your skills. "Wow"
This was a defining moment for me. I owe much of my success I've been able to achieve to my dad and this philosophy. My dad taught me it was OK to fail but it was proof I was improving. From that moment I never saw setbacks, obstacles, rejection or even pain as things to avoid. These became markers on a journey to greatness and should be appreciated, even celebrated.
There are so many real life examples of those who, because of setbacks and obstacles became stronger and ultimately achieved great success.
Les Brown; born in an abandoned garage, given up by his mother at 6 weeks old and labeled "educable mentally retarded" and has gone on to become one of the most successful personal development coaches of our time. Find out more about Les Brown>> http://lesbrown.com/
Lance Armstrong; diagnosed with testicular cancer that spread to his lungs and brain, a less then 50/50 chance of survival. Not only did he survive but he went on to win 7 Tour de France races and is one of the most celebrated athletes of all time. He has raised millions for cancer research through his Lance Armstrong Foundation at http://www.livestrong.org
Wilma Rudolph; was prematurely struck by polio as an infant. She didn't walk normally until the age of 12, but went on to be called the fastest woman on earth. At the 1960 Olympics Rudolph explained it beautifully: "The triumph can't be had without the struggle"
This article is designed to prove to you that circumstance, setback, obstacle, fear or failure could be the very thing that enlightens, emboldens or helps you break through to a new level of success and abundance in your life.

Why MLM Scams & Network Marketing Fraud Make Me Order A Cup Of Light Roast And A Scone... by George Walters

It's an MLM Scam, Pyramid Scheme, Money Game, Rip Off,! Anyone who has been in the network marketing/MLM industry for a day, a week, a month, undoubtedly has had some one tell them they just got suckered into a scam. Trying to defend your decision usually because your own belief might be wavering because of your newness becomes a fruitless fight. I've had countless friends and family do what I call Pee on my cereal and continue to tell me what kind of idiot I am, falling for such a scam. When I was given a 50 thousand dollar truck and was making twice as much as them, part-time, people suddenly went from; Scam to how does that work.

A couple of weeks ago something interesting happened that made me realize why the general population has so much fun peeing on peoples Network Marketing cereal. Here's what happened:

One of my best Buddies called me up and wanted to get together for a cup of coffee to run something by me. I suggested a place that I go to daily but he said "No" meet me at this coffee shop off of Grand Avenue, it's brand new, Big Screen Plasma's, Plush leather couches, beautiful waitresses, the coffee is like drinking nectar and they make homemade Blueberry scones that will make you think you died and went to heaven.

I must say, I couldn't drive fast enough. My mouth was watering in anticipation of this incredible experience I was about to have.

I got there, my buddy waiting inside. I walked in, beautiful place, Plush leather couches and big screen plasma's. "Impressive" Now here is were the slippery slope starts. Over walks an over-weight, unshaved, I'm not certain but I would say un-bathed man. I order a cup of coffee with crème and a blueberry scone, my buddy orders and I look at him and say, wow she's beautiful. "laugh" Our order comes and my coffee is cold. He brings me another cup and it taste burnt. I thought I'll just put some crème in it and it will be OK. The crème was curdled. The waiter brings new coffee and crème and it was just OK. I sink my teeth into this much-anticipated scone; it was just OK. Need I say more?

As we were leaving it dawned on me that a couple weeks before my brother had told me about this place and said he gives them 6 months. You see my buddy probably caught them on a good day. They won't see me again.

Then I realized what the problem really was, and in a flash I saw an instant parallel to some people's perception that the Network Marketing/MLM industry is full of schemes and scams. You see, knowing my friend I'm sure he had gone there and the waitress was cute and again knowing my friend as I do, he blew everything out of proportion.

Well, maybe that's putting it mildly. He gave it this off the wall raving review. He painted this picture that "The owners are friendly, the wait staff is gorgeous, the furniture is all designer-made plush leather couches the scones are to die for and said I will never want to go to any other coffee shop again.

Do you get my drift? We're talking about coffee and a scone here. Even so, my buddy and I entered anticipating an electric experience. What we found, though, it didn't quite match up. The place was way too bright, I'll give them the impressive furniture but the staff was over-weight and under-bathed. The coffee and scone were fair at best, but nothing "special."

We left underwhelmed and my buddy tried to make excuses but came to the same realization, we give them 6 months.

After my buddy apologized and reimbursed me, I saw quite clearly why so many people have jumped on the MLM/Network Marketing Industry is a scam freight train. It's because the reality of working in the industry never matches the expectations of those who are introduced to it.

Hyped up marketers, Get rich quick marketing materials underplay the fact that success is achieved by both learning new skills and applying them daily. Couple that with the reality that most new recruits are not born entrepreneurs, this is also a learn and apply skill and then they claim the "business" does not "work" and that they were "duped" and "scammed."

I will not defend recruiting tactics here. It is obvious that without sales, without new members the industry would perish. However, I do fault anyone claiming 'scam" when they should simply be admitting having made a business decision based on hope instead of reality, thinking once they signed, they could now go get fitted for a hammock and order up a pitcher of margaritas and wait for the money to roll in, they also failed at transitioning from a consumer (opportunity buyer) to an entrepreneur. And this fault is double when they justify their victim mentality by broadcasting a story of scam and fraud. Misery loves company, as they say.

After all, a cup of coffee is a cup of coffee, unless you were expecting it to be Nectar. There's no sense in shooting the bean grower.
