When Is Now A Good Time? by George Walters

Ah, 2010, were did the time go? We just finished up on the first decade of the new millennium... Time for a check up from the neck up. Over the last 10 years, how'd you do? Are you living the life you envisioned for yourself? If not, "Why"? In 1999, weather you were watching Dick Clark drop the ball or dancing to Prince singing his profound song titled for the same year. Is this what you envisioned for yourself back then? Ten years ago did you think you would be richer, healthier, have a better marriage and more friends. Did you see your future having more joy and peace of mind then you're experiencing?

If it all has worked out for you, let me be the first to congratulate you. If not, don't you think it's time to resolve that you are really going to do it this time? You've probably heard the definition of insanity... doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If you don't want the next 10 years to turn out like the last 10, then now is the time to do something different.

We humans are a unique species. We are the only species on the planet who can change the course of our lives in one moment of decision. A lion will never decide that today I'm going to start hanging out with Gazelles. A duck will never fly north for the winter and a dog will never think that it can train it's owner. HMMM, forget that last one. All animals besides humans are directed by impulse, written into their genetic code. As a human, if you don't like the script you have written this far, you can rip it up and decide at this moment to write a completely new one.

Ask anyone one who has succeeded in any area of life... there was a turning point, that moment when they said NO MORE!!! They drew a figurative line in the sand. From this day forward I will do whatever it takes to separate from the patterns of the past and re-write the script for the life I am committed to leading. Some make that commitment in their teens, some not until their 30's, 40's 50's and yes, even into their 80's and beyond, but sadly enough, some never at all. There's countless stories of people who in a moment of decision, made that the moment they could look back upon that was the turning point they decided to take control over their own destiny.

My challenge to you is... "Now" is the time. This year, this month, this day, this moment. What you've accomplished up till now is a small fraction of what you are truly capable of. You are far more powerful, capable and extraordinarily gifted then you allow yourself to believe.

In her wonderful book; Return to Love, author Marianne Williamson put it this way:

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Make a decision that 10 years from now you will be able to look back with 2020 hindsight that this was that turning point that has allowed you to be living that dream life you will be enjoying.

The only thing separating you from the grandest vision of the life you truly deserve, is "Courage" Be courageous and declare this to be the turning point that you can look back upon and say, "That Was The Moment I Decided"... I will no longer play small in the greatest game on the planet... "LIFE".

Truly The Best To you And Your family
Respectfully, George Walters
